Rukiya Bernard husband PJ Prinsloo is an actor and a social worker. Rukiya and Prinsloo have been married for 10 years. 

Peter John Prinsloo is a famous South African actor who had a leading role in the Canadian Series Edgemont as a character named Chris Lidlaw. 

Similarly, he was also cast in an American military movie called Battlestar Galactica as Lt. Mei 'Freaker' Firelli.

He debuted as an actor in 1995 and has still been a part of the acting industry. Besides acting, Prinsloo is active in various social work and philanthropy activities.

PJ He has worked with different organizations in Canada, which included working with youths and school children as well.

After graduating high school, he went to Gastown Actors Studio, Lyric School of Acting, and School Creative at Langara College. Similarly, he also took a major in Psychology as well. 

While working as an actor, Prinsloo was also a part of the Jericho Kids Club. There, he worked as a Program Leader from 2000 to 2010. 

In February 2008, he became a Co-Creator at Box Studios and is still a part of it. At Box Studios, his main job there is to look after event bookings, maintain venues, and look after different stocks. 

Similarly, in September 2008, he became the CEO and Founder of The Awareness Module in Vancouver, Canada. The company's primary goal is to motivate and drive people in a healthy direction. 

He has also been actively teaching about anti-violence and anti-racism around Canada and has been quite successful. 

Finally, Prinsloo has also worked in the Student Support Department at Vancouver School Board since September 2008.

Rukiya Bernard has two children: one daughter and one son. Rukiya kids are currently living in Canada. 

On New Year's in 2022, she shared a picture with her son and fellow actor Tawny Cypress and wished Happy New Year to her fans and followers. 

Rukiya has always remained private about her family and marital life. She does not post much about her children either. 

In one of the interviews in 2011, she mentioned that she has been managing her mom's life and career pretty well. 

Rukiya and her spouse PJ were blessed with a daughter in May 2010, and she will be turning 13 years old this year. Similarly, she also has another kid, but their identity is unknown.

Rukiya Bernard family is originally from Canada but of African descent. Rukiya family later moved to Toronto.

Her father, Gilbert Bernard was an owner of a car washing business, and her mother, Nyakiringa Magugu used to own an African art store in Toronto. 

Her father is of Jamaican descent, whereas her mother is from Kenya. Her parents were highly supportive of her and encouraged her to be a part of different sports and art programs while growing up.

Due to their support, Rukia became quiet in extracurricular activities like Karate, basketball, and Piano.

Similarly, Rukiya has a sister named Njambi Bernard, who is quite close to her. However, her sister's information has remained private.
